Brandt and I were invited to play at the INTERNATIONAL SINGER SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATIONS AWARDS SHOW this AUGUST!!!! We are so honored by this invitation. It is an opportunity for us to expand our music and brand in some really big ways. August 22nd is the date and we have to fly out on August 20th to get there and recoup and be ready to go and we REALLY need YOUR help to get there.

THOUGHTS IS STREAMING EVERYWHERE and I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO HEAR IT!!! This song changed my life. I made decisions and followed through with them because I wrote this song. It gave me the where-with-all to stand in front of you all and tell my story. I really hope that it inspires someone else too.

It is funny to me, that in the dark hours I am most creative. It is almost like I am driven by an undeniable urgency to GET THIS DONE and then I am up all night working on that thing, whatever it may be. And this thing may take me hours to complete because of the random distractions of numbers, questions about ostriches (and what kind of dinosaur they may have been), highly energetic one year old puppies, teenage kids and the written lines that are inspired by all of these things.

"Tonight I will work on the website," I told myself, yet here I am at 4am just now getting started on this...because there were so many other pressing things that had to be taken care of first like, playing ball with the infamous Hendrix Jane for the 7th time today. So, here I am and I am not sure what to do or say. I know I need to tell you guys about the upcoming show with the fabulous Mister Glenn Cannon and the Amazing and Sparkle filled Sunshine of Champagne Sunday on November 28th...and I also need to make a post about my up coming song release, my version of "I Was Made for Loving You" originally by the band Kiss and written by the band's rhythm guitarist, Paul Stanley. 

But I feel like I need to say something about human kindness. The world seems like it is burning down around me and I see and hear so much anger and discrimination around me based off of culture, lifestyle, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political beliefs and I think that it is REALLY important to remember how important it is for us to be kind to each other. You never know what another person is feeling. A simple, genuine smile in a person's direction can go a really long way sometimes. Sometimes its the just the light a person needed to be reminded that they are not alone in the world. I feel like this is so important. 

Groceries are expensive. Food banks are struggling. Can we all work together to overwhelm the food banks with food? Can we be kind to each other and make sure that every child eats? Please?

My goodness I can't believe I haven't posted on here since April! SO much has happened!! I think that the coolest thing that has happened is that my son has begun to join in on some shows with me on his ukulele. He also played on his first recorded song ever...Motivated...and he did a FANTASTIC job! I am so proud of him. 

You can catch him, myself and Doug at Water From Wine on September 5th in Tacoma. 

Designer Mel is always taking photos and no one takes any photos of her...until now! So I am taking this moment to introduce her to everyone! She is the lady behind the scenes, she makes show announcements, takes videos, pictures and promotes Meghanne Storey and we LOVE her and we KNOW you will too!! When you see her beautiful face at a show make sure to stop and say HELLO!!!!
